Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz fended off further questions Friday about his 2003 drug test, saying he needed more time to gather information. "I am trying to find out what's going on. When I get my stuff together, I'll let you guys know," Ortiz said before the Red Sox faced the Baltimore Orioles.

Warrick agrees to 1-year deal with Bucks (AP)

Forward Hakim Warrick has agreed to a one-year contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. His agent, Bill Duffy, announced the deal on Friday. Nuggets acquire Malik Allen from Bucks (AP)

The Denver Nuggets have acquired Malik Allen from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Walter Sharpe and Sonny Weems. The Nuggets announced the deal Friday. Allen played in 49 games for Milwaukee last season, averaging 3.2 points and 2.1 rebounds. In 409 games over an eight-year career, he has averaged 5.4 points and 3 rebounds.

Two-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Mike Wahle has been released by the Seattle Seahawks before their first practice of training camp. Wahle was released before the Seahawks took the field Friday afternoon. The team said Wahle failed his physical on Friday morning. The 32-year-old Wahle was signed away from Carolina before the 2008 season.
