Frye, Granger suspended 1 game for fight (AP)

Phoenix forward Channing Frye and Indiana’s Danny Granger have been suspended one game without pay by the NBA for their part in an altercation Saturday. The league punished Frye on Tuesday for throwing a punch. Granger was penalized for fighting with Frye in the final minute of the third quarter in the Suns’ 113-105 victory.

With Kenyon Martin’s left knee aching, Carmelo Anthony vowed to be more of a force on the boards. Wizards ink Livingston for 10 more days (AP)

The Washington Wizards have signed guard Shaun Livingston to a second 10-day contract. Livingston initially signed with the Wizards on Feb. 26. He was averaging 3.0 points and 1.5 assists in 9.3 minutes in four games for Washington headed into Tuesday night’s game against the Houston Rockets.

Pats re-sign CB Bodden to 4-year deal (AP)

The New England Patriots have kept another free agent from leaving, re-signing cornerback Leigh Bodden to a four-year deal. Bodden’s deal, which was announced by his agent on Twitter, comes on the same day the Patriots confirmed that they re-signed defensive lineman Vince Wilfork. Wilfork and his agent announced the deal on Saturday.

Chiefs sign former Jets RB Jones (AP)

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed free agent running back Thomas Jones, who led the New York Jets to the AFC championship game last season and was the NFL’s third-leading rusher. The Chiefs announced the deal Tuesday but declined to disclose the terms. Jones had career highs of 1,402 yards and 14 touchdowns last season.
